Food NZ: Master Chef nearly here...

First series of NZ Master Chef due to air on Wednesday 3 February 2010 at 7.30pm.
Can't wait to see how it looks in comparison to the Aussie version....

Today's thoughts

I love Christmas food. And I love summer food even more... had a kilo of fresh boysenberries last week, only beaten by the fresh raspberries and blueberries for breakfast yesterday.

I love how young people are cooking so elaborately. Wish I'd had the confidence I see in some of these 18-year olds.

I'm very fortunate to have a bunch of people around me who inspire and challenge me. Let's celebrate success...... Make mine a bubbly!

Give more than you take. Have faith that you''ll get back what you put in - when you need it.

Eat what you like but only when hungry and only until full, as long as it's not always the same thing... and if you only like fast food you have a problem!

We can do the normal and expected or the quirky and irreverent. More of the latter please....
